Some of the perks of joining EMBR include…
Tools
Whether it’s a new MacBook Pro or a cable tester, we’ve got you covered. After all, it’s hard to work if you don’t have the right tools.
Long-term benefits
When we say we’re in it for the long haul, we mean it. We offer long-term disability, a 401(k) with a 5% match after one year of employment.
Paid Time Off
Our policy is simple. As long as you don’t abuse it, if you need it, take it. We want you at your best, and that means taking care of your people and yourself.
Office Perks
Coffee for days, Friday happy-hours, and the occasional old-school dance party featuring our own DJ Squintz… we work hard, we play hard.
Health & Wellness
Health, dental and vision insurance, and a whole host of other benefits. After one year, you get even more.
Continuing Education
We invest in those that invest with us. We provide an allowance for continuing education, conference registrations, and other programs so that you can continually align your passion with your career.
Other opportunities to get involved
lunch & learns
We host a monthly lunch & learn at our HQ in Nashville, TN - and most of them are also live-streamed as well.
Most of these are centered around trainings - we bring in manufacturer reps and other industry professionals to train techs on specific gear (Grand MA 3 programming, LED / Processing, etc.)
But every quarter or so, we’ll have a lunch and learn specifically designed for people who are interested in getting into the live events industry.
These are completely free events! To get notified of the next one, just sign up!
Career shadow days
We offer the opportunity for high-school and college students to come shadow a department head for a day - giving the student a hands-on perspective of what the live events industry is like!
internships & apprenticeships
Internships at EMBR are semester-long commitments that must be sponsored by an accredited college or university.
Our internship programs are not focused on one discipline; rather, every intern spends time in every department - including back-office and administration.
Internships are paid positions.
***
Apprenticeships are the next step up from an internship with two key differences:
1) Apprenticeships are focused on one specific area (lighting, video, project management, etc.)
2) Apprenticeships do not require the candidate to be sponsored by a college or university.
Apprenticeships are paid positions.
